How does IT contribute to a sustainable society?

Growing Green the event on how IT supports and accelerates the sustainability of society in the broadest sense. But also how IT itself is becoming more sustainable.

Technology plays a crucial role in making our society more sustainable. Our 'sharing economy', other business models, including sustainability development goals in our purchasing conditions, sustainable data centers. Many practical examples were reviewed during ICE Growing Green.

At the opening with Remco Schilderinck MSc, Stijn Grove, Jan Raes and Frits Bussemaker we explored a number of game changers. How do we deploy IT for a sustainable and circular economy? Are we going to let data grow uninhibited or are we going to put a brake on that. We need to get to the bottom of what is happening, because there is a lot to gain.

But, the most important take out of the event is our own awareness and behavior. Creating insight and working with it. And important to keep bringing this to our attention. And we will continue to do so! A special day with many collaborativelearning at IT Circle Netherlands
