Several organizations in the Netherlands are attacked every day. These are very diverse organizations, large and small. One such organization is the Tax and Customs Administration. The Security Operations Center of the Belastingdienst is the team within the
Tax Administration that fights cybercrime.
The Internal Revenue Service's SOC has been in the news several times recently because of the many reports the SOC has received from taxpayers regarding phishing and smishing. The SOC's technical lead provides an inside look at the SOC and shares his experiences.
