At a European level, there are a number of major changes ahead in the field of Data and Cloud. The European Union will invest 1.2 billion in Cloud. A significant amount. In this session you will find out more about what this investment entails and what you as an IT user in the Netherlands can expect from it. Did you know that the US now hosts 90 percent of Western data? To combat this dependency, Gaia-X was set up in 2020 to develop a federated data and cloud infrastructure. TNO is in the Lead of the Gaia-X hub in the Netherlands, there is also a test environment; called ‘Structura-X’. The test environment for all cloud services, an initiative of 38 organizations.
