Accessibility takes many forms, with physical accessibility being the most imaginative. Another form of accessibility is Web accessibility, the degree to which people with work limitations, such as low vision, can access websites or applications. Within DSW health insurer, they are converting the internal portal applications to Web applications, taking into account the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guideluines), to make these applications accessible to a wider group of employees. Barbara Vass, UX Designer and member of the Accessibility guild at DSW, is involved in the design of these applications. During this session she will tell why they are taking this step within DSW, how they are doing it and what the practical implications are. Are you curious what it means to design and develop inclusively? Sign up quickly through the Community Officer of your organization.
